Merry Christmas!!!
OK, this is a post-Christmas post. Merry Belated Christmas!
Danielle celebrated her very first Christmas just three and a half weeks after being born. She spent it with Mommy and Daddy and her Grandma and Grandpa Guilbot in San Antonio (where Daddy made out like a bandit, with lots of chocolate stuffed in his Christmas stocking!!! Thanks, Grandma India!).
She also got to meet her Aunt Lizzie (Elizabeth) for the first time, although Daddy was so fuzzy-brained that he forgot to snap a photo. Next time! Lizzie was really great with Danielle, and our little Raspberry fell asleep in Aunt Lizzie's arms. The she pooted. (The baby, not Lizzie! :-)
She was pretty good for Grandma and Grandpa, but a little fussy for her parents, and she had a pretty long night after we got home, but overall, she had a great time, and got some rockin' Christmas gifts (pictures to follow).
Thanks for hosting us, Grandma and Grandpa, and for the delicious lasagna, too! It was all great. A wonderful first Christmas!!

Guilbot Family Blog Debut
Hi, folks! I just created this blog as a place to keep our family and friends updated with pictures and news, and occassionally video. Most of this will be to document the growth of our new daughter Danielle Anne Guilbot, who is almost 3 weeks old today!
In this new digital age, we have the opportunity to document her whole life digitally (we started with video of the labor). We've found that it's much quicker, easier, cheaper, and more eco-friendly to take digital photos and post them to the Web than it is to develop paper photos and try to keep them organized, copied, and distributed to all the wonderful people who regularly ask about Danielle (even though she's brand-new to this world).
We hope that by posting "digital newsletters", complete with pictures and video, Danielle's grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and family friends can keep up with Danielle's growth, and our adventures as new parents. Maybe we'll start an "Advice to Mary and Curtis" section, so people can post their parenting suggestions!
Hope you enjoy!

Tennis Team Sectionals
One day when Daddy is old(er) and fat(ter) than he is now, he can point to this picture from August 2006, and assure Danielle, that, yes, he did indeed used to play tennis. Outdoors. With other people. Real racquets and balls. Not just on the Wii.
She probably won't believe me, anyway.
This is a photo of the South Austin Tennis Center team, the Tejas Warriors, at the 2006 USTA Sectionals Tournament in Dallas. It was hot as hell, but a good time was had by all.
Thanks to Jim Vaughn for the pics.
